Comparison Reports (HTML)

The comparison reports show all of the changes even if you don't have the item selected. It would be nice if the comparison report did not have the items that are not selected.

Also, It would be nice if the HTML files were a MHTML file where it contained the images within the HTML file so that you don't have to have a Internet connection? It poses a little problem when you don't have an internet connection to download the images.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the comments about the compairson reports, I have logged your request about including only the selected items in a comparison report and we will look at adding that functionality for the final release although I cant promise anything at this time.

    Also on the MHT front we will certainly be looking to put this into the final release. As a temporary measure if you look in C:\Program Files\Red Gate\SQL Bundle 5 you will find a file called SQLCompareInteractiveReportTemplate.xsl on line 298 you will find the text: var imagesdir = "http://www.red-gate.com/scimages/";

    Rather than pointing this to our site you can change this line to:
    var imagesdir = "file://C:/Program Files/Red Gate/SQL Bundle 5/Reporting/images/"; At this point you no longer need to have an internet connection (Although you need to be on a machine with SQL Bundle 5 installed).

    Hope this helps,

    - James
