Relocate SQL Monitor 3.3 to a new server

Hello,

I'm running SQL Monitor 3.3 on my desktop computer but now a server has been made available for me. Does anyone know how I can switch the monitoring software and the corresponding license so that I can run SQL Monitor from the new server?

I seem to recall that there needs to be a switch for the licenses or else they won't work from a different location, so I want to get this right and not end up being unable to run SQL Monitor from either location.

    Hello,

    The licensing details are kept in the SQL Monitor repository database, so it isn't necessary to deactivate or do any prepwork for the new server.

    All you need to do is
    • Stop the SQL Monitor 3 Base Monitor service on the old computer
    • Install the website and base monitor on the new computer
