Non-existent SQL servers showing up in Server dropdown

I apologize is this is a duplicate but I did a search and couldn't find a similar issue. With SQL Compare version (10.4.8.87) there are several servers in the drop-down list that no longer exist on the netwrok. I have cleaned out any and all registry entries for these items & rebooted but no avail. What am I missing? Thanks in advance.

Red Gate SQL Tools call the NetServerEnum function in windows to get a list of SQL Servers from the network:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library ... 23(v=vs.85).aspx

It doesn't say so but I assume this means you have some SRV records in your DNS that identify some SQL Servers.

Thanks for the info. I will review with Network team and get the obsolete servers removed and retry the list of servers.
