upgrade issues?

I'm preparing to upgrade from 3 to 4:
- should I just install on top of the existing version (3x) or first uninstall?
- are my v3 project files load in v4? (both structure and data compare)

    Hello there,

    Yes, SQL Compare and Data Compare v4 can load projects created with v3. I'd just saved some from the version 3 bundle and loaded them in version 4 bundle, just to make sure. :-)

    The SQL Bundle 4 installation should uninstall the previous version automatically. The product installer will not let different versions peacefully coexist. You would need to keey v3 on another computer if you feel you still have a need for it.

    just a follow-up.
    Purchased v4, installed it on top of v3, registered both data/schema products, compared using v3 project files, synchronized successfully (it seemed to work faster).

    ...the way every upgrade should work :D
