Moving the base monitor db

I have only one db server and another IIS server, so I have the Monitor db on the primary server with the server and databases being monitored, but connected to the IIS web server.

Now, I've installed SQL Server Express on the IIS server. What is the best method of moving the db to the other server, so I can keep my config, and history? Dettach, re-attach? Re-install SQLMonitor, then SQL Compare it over?

    Hi Dan,

    You can follow the steps in this article. You can either backup/ restore or Detach/ Reattach, whatever is easier for you.
