We're certainly aware of this bug - it hasn't been fixed in the public EAP versions yet, but the intention is that it will be.
For now, there is a KB article that might help: Changing the default data location used by SQL Backup.

When the Demo was shown to us, selecting SQL Server Data Directory would read the settings held in SQL Server.
e.g. Data Directory E:\SQLOLTPDATA
Trying out the EAP the functionality is the same as V6 in that it always shows it as C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\........
