Instance not connecting

I have an instance the monitor is trying to connect to and is not making the connection. If I go under Configuration > Monitored Servers and look at the instance connection, it says "Attempting to Connect...". It has been in this state since I reset the monitor, which was greater than 24 hours ago.

    I think it's important that, when adding a cluster, you use the SERVERNAME\* specification to add all instances on a cluster. SQL Monitor should then use Remote Registry to find all nodes and instances.

    SERVERNAME, I believe, should be a node of the cluster. See http://www.red-gate.com/supportcenter/C ... %20Monitor for more information.
