Does log backup set checkpoints?
New post
I'm now moving my log backups over to SQL Backup, and I can't seem to determine if it sets checkpoints upon backup or not. Our database gets a lot of activity so it's important for us to keep the log files truncated regularly.
Thanks!

A SQL Backup transaction log backup works very much like a native trx log backup. Use DBCC SQLPERF (LOGSPACE) to verify this.
