User does not have permission to perform this action

Hello,
I'm trying to compare a Sql 2005 database with Sql 2008 using Sql Compare 7.

I started the comparison and prompt the follow error when "Reading permissions":
- User does not have permission to perform this action.

Any idea?

    Thanks for contacting Red Gate.

    You need to make sure you have at least db_owner permissions in order to compare and synchronise your database.

    shadow database or development database ?
