Error 918: Failed to retrieve restore history id.

Hi, Whilst restoring some database backups (using the partial restore method), I encounter an issue whilst restoring the differential database backups: -

Error 918: Failed to retrieve restore history id.
SQL error 102: Incorrect syntax near ')'.

Warning 195: Failed to update backup history table (BACKUPMEDIAFAMILY).
SQL error 102: Incorrect syntax near '='.

SQL Backup exit code: 195
SQL error code: 102

This appears to be an issue within Red Gate backup itself, as I do not receive any errors restoring other backup files using Red Gate - only differential backups.

I do not encounter any issues restoring Microsoft Backups either.

    Could you please post the RESTORE command you were using to restore the differential backup?

    Could you also please run Profiler to trace the commands used by the SQL Backup Agent Service (SQBCoreService.exe) while restoring the differential backup, and post the commands that were incorrectly formed?
