Will there be additional licensing choices?

  How about any special deals for those of use who have current maintenance on other RedGate products?

  Your tools are excellent, but I guess "low prices" is kind of relative. The SQL Prompt bundle at $595USD is a stretch for our organization. I would love a license at home for when I am working at home, but I (nor who I work for) can afford yet another license...

  Can you describe how that would work if we wanted to license 10 or 50 developers? Would you get a single license that could be installed x number of times or are you just purchasing x number licenses?
  
  My experience with site licenses has been that you pay a flat fee for any number of developers at that site. I have also seen site discounts, where the more you buy, the cheaper the unit price is. I was hoping that your company would consider the former, it would be a much easier sell to my boss.

  I'm not sure how many I would need. We have lots of .NET developers in our company, but I have no idea how many of them would use it. I would guess around 30 of us would need a license, but it's just a guess.
  
  I like the license our company bought for LINQPad. We bought their enterprise license, which allowed all of our developers to use it. My office has 6 .NET developers, and I'm the only one that uses it on a regular basis. I'll use it on 4 machines, depending on if I'm working from the office or from home. Having to worry about a license count is an annoyance that I would prefer to avoid.

  Thanks again for taking the time to post guys and we really appreciate your voice here. As you can imagine we have been receiving a hell of a lot of feedback over the past few days but this particular thread around licensing and pricing has been the most popular with all our interested parties.   Thanks for posting. All our current customers of the Red Gate .NET Developer Bundle (Purchased after February 2010) already have a perpetual license of .NET Reflector Pro. All of those with a current support and upgrades contract will be able to upgrade to .NET Reflector VSPro for free as part of their contract.

  Hey Chris, as I mentioned in my reply to @hahaoffman (linked above) we have had vast amounts of customer feedback in the past few days from customers interested in purchasing .NET Reflector V7. Your questions around licensing were the top topic and as such we may make some revisions to the way our licensing is going to work now and in the future.
  
  We have had a number of painful licensing situations described to us across large and small organisations and it is really important to us that licensing in Reflector does not get in people's way. This will be a top priority for us and we will be working hard to launch V7 with something that works for a large %age of the market. If any customer has a particular niche case that they would like to discuss before purchasing there will be a form on our website and our team will do the best to tailor make a solution.
  
  Hannah’s comments and your first guess from earlier are essentially still true. All versions of Reflector will remain licensed per user and individual users will be able to activate licenses on a number of machines. So you buy x users with x activations each. Clearly the second x is the important number here and we are going to revise what that should be before .NET V7 is launched. Regardless of how many x you start with you will still be able to request more activations (for free) by simply filling in a form and hitting send. You will also be able to deactivate your own licenses when you remember so that you can reactivate them on another machine.
  
  I realise the second solution above is not ideal for people using multiple VM’s and it would certainly feel like a hassle for me to have to remember to deactivate my Reflector license every time I wanted to rebuild a machine. If it is clear that customers are having problems with licensing it will become our top priority. In the meantime our solution will be to tweak the edge cases for customers that the current solution does not fit.
