Can SQL Backup backup a database that is using TDE

Can RedGate SqlBackup backup a db that is using Transparent Data Encryption ?

    Yes, but you would need to manually back up your certificates and private key associated with the database to ensure the backup files can be restored on other instances. Also, encrypted databases don't compress well, and would probably take longer to back up compared to a regular SQL Server backup, in addition to chewing up more CPU cycles.
