Could you please post the exact version you are using? Please check the version of SQBCoreService.exe, the SQL Backup Agent service executable file.
Thanks. -
I am using SQLBackup 6.4.0.56

That is the latest release version, and should be backwards compatible with all earlier versions of SQL Backup.
Could you please send me the first 1 Kb of the backup file? If you don't have a tool to do this, you can use one of our utilities. You can download it from here:
ftp://support.red-gate.com/patches/sql_backup/SBaTU.zip
Run the app in the archive, select the 'Tools > Extract file header' option, and enter the necessary parameters. Send me the resulting header file.
Thanks. -

This is strange, I did not encrypted these backups -
If you select the 'Extract file header' option, it will just copy the first x bytes into a separate file. There isn't a need to enter a password.
Thanks. -
This is what I get

2010/11/18 08:16:31 AM: Error 570: File is not a SQL Backup file.
The backup was created with version 5. I am now running version 6.
There is no additional information in the logs.
The backups were tested when they were created, what could cause this?
I tried restoring other backups made and they all have the same error. I do not believe it is a drive error because any file other than .sqb files are working fine.
