Does not detect variables more than 100 lines from declare

I am using SS2000 Query Analyzer. After about 100 lines, SQL Prompt does not suggest variables declared at the top of the script. I thought this was fixed in SQL Prompt 4 (?)
Also, I don't see the menu options under the SQL Prompt menu in Query Analyzer to perform some of the new tasks.
