SQL Server Hardware Upgrade

I wil lbe upgrading the hardware on one of my production SQL Servers soon that has SQL BAckup installed and need to know what steps I need to take to move the license/activation from the old hardware (which will be retired) to the new hardware during the upgrade weekend. Do you have a list of steps to accomplish this?

    Hi Kevin

    If you have to move your licence to a new machine because of hardware changes or failures it will have to have a fresh activation. To do this please send us an email explaining the situation with a note of your serial number. We will then allocate you another activation.
