Hi John,
We have seen this happen a few times and I've tracked down a possible reason as a bug in Windows 2008 R2 that causes a memory leak in WMI:

We recently migrated SQL Response from 2000 to 2008. Twice in the last week SQL Response has reported all of the drives on the new machine as having 0 bytes of free space and 0 bytes of Used space. Any assistance would be appreciated.
Kind Regards,
John
