VIEW SERVER STATUS Permission?

Hello,

I'm curious why a user needs VIEW SERVER STATUS permissions for SQL Prompt to work?

I have a user that's dbo on his database, but gets an error during SQL Prompt Caching the data for his database while "Reading Permissions".

What exactly is SQL Prompt reading from the dynamic tables to need a server level permission?
