error message: cannot run application from a network share

I installed reflector several months ago and it worked great. today i tried to run it from visual studio 2008->tools and it displays an error, "you cannot run application from a network share. Please try running from a local directory". i am not sure what happened from the last time i ran it till now. i tried moving the reflector folder that contained the exe, config files etc... to "c:\reflector\*". still got the same error.... any ideas?????

You could try to use the Tools->External Tools menu item to find out where the reflector.exe is being referenced, and modify it to point to the new local directory.

    thanks for the quick response.

i decided to backtrack on anything i may have done in the past month.

recently, i have been experimenting with the .net 2.0 configuration tool in preparation for Microsoft certification. i don't recall doing anything that would have affected this application. in fact the only thing i did was create a code group and experimented with permission sets. but i always removed anything thing i created when i was done.

i reset the policy in the configuration tool, and the application work again. go figure!!
