I am evaluating a trial version of SQL Compare (version 8.1.0.360) and I am not able to get the synchronization script to create indexes in anything other than the Primary filegroup. It will preserve the filegroup settings when I create a Scripts Folder but if I generate a synchronization script from it the script does not specify any filegroup so everything defaults to Primary.

Am I missing something?

Thanks

    Thanks for your post.

By default SQL Compare will ignore 'filegroups, partition functions and partition schemes'

You might find you get the results you're expecting if you turn off this option in: Project Configuration > Options > Ignore > 'Filegroups, partition schemes and partition functions'

Hopfully this will help, but let me know if it doesn't.

Thank you, I found that option and turned it off and it fixed the problem!
