Currently I'm afraid SQL Search does not work with non-english base language installs of SSMS although this is something we're looking to fix before release.
Apologies but thanks for the feedback -
Hi,
thnaks for zou answer, but the SQL Server installation is US English. It`s an US English Win 7 Enterprise installation with Germany MUI, Visual Studio 2008 also in US English.
Probably this helps.
Regards,
Carsten -
Ah ok, do you have an install without the German MUI?
If so and you can try it on that I would appreciate it. If not then I've added this to the buglist and we'll try and look at this as soon as we can.
Sorry you can't get it working -
Hi,
I don=t have an installation without MUI but I will try a user with US English layout and will let you know.

Carsten

I have some problems running SQL Search with MS SQL Server 2008 R2 CTP from November 2009. The installation worked fine, but when I start the Management Studio an error pops up. It says:
Der Typeninitilisierer für "CE L. L" hat eine Ausnahme versursacht.
In English language it would mean the the Typeinitiator für "CE L. L" raised an expection. When I click "Ignore and continue" the error comes up and up, .....
Onle the deinstallation fixed y problem. Anyway I am a little bit confused that the download page says Beta 1 but the announcement was for Beta 2.
