It would be useful on the compare screen to show the modified date (and maybe the created date also) of two objects. Sometimes when trying to consolidate two branched dev databases it can be useful at a high level to see which version of the object is newer. Not always a useful metric, but in some cases it can be, especially when you are reviewing changes by other developers as opposed to your own.

That's a great idea. I guess that there's a fair chance that the object that was modified the latest is the one that should be preserved. Do you want to actually see the modified date for each object, or is it enough to know which is more recent?

I think both would be useful. It doesn't have to be very big text for the date itself, and then some visual clue, like a yellow star icon, or different colored text, for the newer object.
