Just wanted to say that redgate has implemented a workaround in SQL Prompt 10.16 for this issue. Clicking the login button still did not open a browser for me to sign in BUT under the login button there is now a link that tells you to copy/paste it into a browser in case a browser did not open up. Bottom line is I can now use it signed in as a different windows user. Thank you for listening redgate! / comments

I have the same issue as @ed_waystar and @bryan_1. I got a new computer recently, went into SSMS (as my regular windows user), and activated my license .... everything is fine and I can use SQL Prompt. When I hold shift and right-click on SSMS to "run as different user", and then try to use/activate my SQL Prompt license, it won't open a browser for me to complete the license setup. I have even opened the browser manually and logged in ahead of time to help it along, but it just doesn't do anything. / comments
