Hi Ivailo Thanks for reaching out to Redgate Support. I would like to test this, but for the sake of consistently, could you please provide the creation script you used where you saw this behavior? I did some sample testing on my end but was not getting an error. Best, Support / comments

@prozach99 Good Morning, could I have you check your Registry Editor for
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 10. If you have a key with the name Options Folder then you may have set it to go to a new location.
If this is the case I would check if you set this back to the default location if you are still getting this issue of it loading. Looks like its about 80mb so not sure if thats big enough to cause loading problems. But check if they try in the default location. Would recommend you backup the file before you do anything too / comments

My Apologies @prozach99, I saw the words Search and SQL together and the rest is history. In that case the latest version of SQL Prompt is 10.15.0.12121.exe and the link is below: https://download.red-gate.com/checkforupdates/SQLPrompt/SQLPrompt_10.15.0.12121.exe Try upgrading that and then see if you are still seeing that same error. If that does not work, could I trouble you to attach your logs here for further review (SQL Prompt > Help > Locate Log Files)? Specifically, we would be looking for the below log message which may confirm a known issue. [Error] Error processing command: StoreOpenState
System.FormatException: Additional non-parsable characters are at the end of the string.

Good Afternoon @prozach99, Thanks for reaching out to Redgate Support and sorry to hear you are having some trouble with SQL Search. I have seen this issue in the past sometimes be caused by the user having an out-of-date version of SQL Search installed. Could I kindly have you confirm you have SQLSearch_3.7.0.4929.exe installed in this environment, and if not, install it and confirm if you are still seeing this issue? / comments

Hi Paolo, Sorry you are having an issue getting SQL Back Up to connect to AWS S3. Can you please send me a screen shot of the cloud storage tab of the Server Options? I'd like to see how you have it configured. Also, if you could, go to Help --> Logging and turn on Verbose logging. Then try to back up to the S3 bucket again. Once you've done that, send me the log file. / comments

Hi @MFrenzel Thanks for chiming in, thankfully this issue has now since been replicated by development and they are currently testing the fix we are planning to implement. Once that has cleared smoke testing and is released in a new version of SQL Prompt, I will circle back here and let you guys know. Looking at the solution, it seems to be significantly faster after the fix is applied. Cheers, Christian Perez Product Support / comments

Hi @BiestMode, Thanks for the follow up, I was able to find out that the behavior for Stored Procedures in the latest version of Prompt did indeed change. Default values of Stored Procedure Parameters are now being displayed in suggestions. Which was in 10.14.22.11347, so if you install the Prompt version prior to this one, I imagine your loading speeds will speed up for the time being. I currently have this escalated as a Performance Issue with SQL Prompt, so if you do end up finding time to test this in your end, I would kindly ask that the test be performed as such:
Place Prompt into Verbose Mode (SQL Prompt > Help > Enable Verbose Logging) while on the latest version and then let the slow load occur.
Afterwards gather the verbose logs
Then uninstall Prompt and downgrade to version 10.14.21.9884 and Place Prompt into Verbose Mode (SQL Prompt > Help > Enable Verbose Logging) and repeat the test for loading suggestions.
Attach both sets of logs to this post.
I can then make a comparison on the loading times and provide that to Development for remediation. / comments

Hi Biestmode, Thanks for reaching out to Redgate Software and sorry to hear you are seeing some slowness on SQL Prompt's latest release. Would it be possible for you to place SQL Prompt in Verbose (SQL Prompt > Help > Enable Verbose Logging) and repeat the same test where you are seeing the extended slowness and then attach those logs here? / comments
