While I had tried uninstalling and re-installing (which didn't fix things), here's what does appear to have worked:
Uninstalled SQL Prompt
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 10 and delete the folder (backup it up first to be save)
Re-install SQL Prompt
Apparently the uninstall process does not remove all the files and re-installing leaves stuff behind. So doing a complete gut seems to have resolved the issue.

@Jon_Kirkwood , Thanks for the response! When you're dealing with very large databases with encryption enabled, it's really critical you only use native SQL Server compression when backing up, so it would be great to see an option to either change the default compression or maybe provide a warning when trying to use Redgate's compression when a database has encryption enabled.
