This behavior continues on 10.13.10.1356 too (SSMS 18.12.1) :-(

The problem remains even after the installation of the new version 10.13.8.860 My simple test case scenario is: - run SSMS - go to SQL Prompt > Options > Aliases[image] [image]  > turn off Assign aliases - shut down SSMS - run SSMS - check for Assign aliases option > and it's On / comments
