I am still on 10.12.4 as well due to the issues that remain with SQL History. Maybe the it would be easier for the dev team to add back Tab History along side the new SQL History while its being developed? I am sure many of us would love to be able to see and test new features as they are refined but not at the expense of work we need to get done. Removing an established and useful feature and replacing it with a different feature still in alpha is a good way to lose customer loyalty and eventually customers [image] / comments

Its definitly a mess. I was hoping it would be a lot better by now... but it isn't.

OMG how do I get my TAB HISTORY tab back? If this SQL History is supposed to replace it then someone dropped the ball big time because this thing sucks; at least for a quick easy to search like Tab History was.
The best stable version with Tab Histoy that I use is 10.12.4.29949which you can get to and download from this page:
https://documentation.red-gate.com/sp/release-notes-and-other-versions/sql-prompt-10-12-release-notes *** Newer versions of 10.12 have Tab History too but seem to have a threading bug and often throw semaphore related exceptions (they don't crash ssms but do pop up). If you uninstall 10.13.x and then install this version, your current history shoudl remain intact. At least that was my experience a few times ao far. You can always manually backup you the history files just in case something goes wrong. Those files should be here: %localappdata%\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 10\

@dkim1999 Do you know if these requests have gained any traction and if the product roadmap has any specific plans to address the many concerns? Hopefully sooner than later. I see some requests for this feature on UserVoice but couln't find any official replies to those yet. I still heavily rely on SQL Prompt but am still running an older version so I can use Tab History which provides the simple and quick navigation in SSMS that helps me get work done. / comments

Hi All The team are not looking to reimplement tab history. They are looking at making changes to the search currently. They are actively looking at the uservoice for changes to it so would recommend adding feedback there https://redgate.uservoice.com/forums/94413-sql-prompt
Thanks for the reply! There is already a lot of this feedback there and I have already voted on what I think is important. I hope others are doing the same. It there a publically available roadmap (list) of fixes and updates planned for SQL history so those of us who depend heavilvy on specific features of Tab History can look forward to and plan accordingly? btw - when entering any items there, you can still only categoriize it as "Tab History" despite that feature being removed. There is no group for SQL History yet that I can see - unless I missed it?? / comments
