Hi @adam_hafner Thank you for reaching out on the Redgate forum regarding your SQL Scripts Manager behavioural concern. I've replicated this on my test system, there is a parsing error when there is an ampersand character (&) in the CDATA section. I am of the belief that CDATA should be able to parse that character within an XML format. Along with your other feature requests, I'll escalate this to our development team to see if this is determined to be a bug. In the interim, I'd recommend using text replacements for this character to generate valid scripts for the application to parse. / comments

Hi adam_hafner Thank you for reaching out on the Redgate forum regarding your SQL Scripts Manager feature request. Scripts Manager is provided as a free tool that is largely community driven to provide scripts that can be run in the application. I've noted you have submitted a few feature requests over a number of forum posts recently - I have collated these and escalated them to our product team for their consideration, and will update your posts as I receive any updates.

Hi Adam, Developers have come back regarding this feature request to add integration between SQL Script Manager & SSMS. This has been entered into their feature request development backlog. Due to development priorities, this request does not have an allocated timeframe to be reviewed and/or implemented. Any new functionality is made available as part of a standard patch release for any Redgate product, and would welcome reviewing product patch notes in future should this be built into the tool. https://documentation.red-gate.com/ssm/release-notes-and-other-versions / comments

Hi @adam_hafner Thank you for reaching out on the Redgate forums regarding your SQL Scripts Manager icon inquiry. Looking into this, I believe that the icon functionality was removed in version 2.0.0 in 2017. This is before my time with Redgate but suspect this may connect to the application moving into a community version. I would anticipate that existing scripts may retain the icon attribute, however it is not doing anything within the program. Patch notes:
Version 2.0.0, February 9th, 2017 Features * New window appearance * New product logo * New product switcher - accessible from the product logo top-left * UI requires .NET4 runtime * Moved Logging menu under help menu * New feature usage reporting. Opt in/out from Help > Help us improve our products... * Toolets no longer use icons * Ads removed * Presets only shown when presets saved for toolet * Header controls default to size 12, removed ability to set fonts * Label controls position above controls * Streamlined new update checking interface

Hi adam_hafner, Thank you for reaching out on the Redgate forum regarding your SQL Scripts Manager signature question. I believe the signature is a functionality that is implemented by your own security/compliance team to implement. It ensures that scripts that are being run on your system are permitted and match the stored scripts in your systems' cryptography vault. Unless you are implementing script signing within your estate, it is recommended to keep a blank <signature /> field in the file. Otherwise, I believe the process is along the lines of generating signed keys for the script and storing these in your RSA machinedkeys folder for your user to access. The system then authenticates that the signed file matches the keys and allows the script to be run. Our software doesn't generate the keys; it just allows for signed scripts to be created and used. / comments

Hi @adam_hafner Thank you for reaching out on the Redgate forum regarding your SQL Scripts Manager display concern. I've replicated this on my test system, the long form of the description field does not appear when you select the script details. Documentation does seem to indicate that it is expected to appear here: The full description is shown on the Description tab of the script details window. https://documentation.red-gate.com/ssm/xml-schema-reference-for-script-files/the-sql-scripts-manager-xml-schem Along with your other feature requests, I'll escalate this to our development team to see if this is determined to be a bug. / comments
