For me the issue was that after downloading SQL Search alone on SSMS 18.5, clicking on the button Sql Search didnt result in windows showing for the search. Solution for me was to install the entire suit of services as part of the SQL Toolbelt Essentials (11 services). After I installed these, I was able to click, view the sql search. / comments
