I'm still using 10.13.31952 and won't update until I hear that the problem is fixed. Is there a newer version than 10.13.3.32087? / comments

I had upgraded from 10.13.31952. I uninstalled the new version and re-installed 10.13.31952 and it is working as previous - needs work, but at least functions. Yes, I have submitted suggestions, but, of course, never hear anything back.

@ATurner, I'd really like to know how many users requested this change. Or was it just that someone at Redgate got a 'bright' idea? / comments

I'm still at a loss to understand how anyone could think that this change made sense.
Why would anyone want Excel to handle numbers as text??? / comments

That doesn't make sense. Why would I want Excel to look like SSMS? We output to Excel to be able to work with the data and/or format it for reporting, etc. Exporting numbers as non-numbers makes that more difficult. Whoever thought that was a good idea should rethink it. / comments

While the Text to columns is a workaround, it can be time consuming. It needs to be applied to each column separately and if there are many number columns, it can be a real PITA. As a developer, I don't see why it should be so difficult to compare the Excel output section of the current version with the version from several months ago, see what changed and fix it. / comments
