Hi @beetle,
Thanks for getting in touch. Sorry to hear that you are having trouble seeing suggestions for that server. Please could you see if there are any errors in the log file and paste them here if so.
You can access the log file from the main menu of SQL Prompt via: SQL Prompt -> Help -> Show Log

Hi @ThoschVX,
Thanks for sending us your SQL example. We think the `COALESCE` statement should obey the same rules as functions but isn't currently. I have logged a bug under reference SP-6598 to investigate further. We will get back to you if we find a fix.
Thanks,

Hi @m60freeman,
Unfortunately SQL Code Guard does not currently install into SSMS 2017. Apologies that our installer made it look like it did. https://documentation.red-gate.com/display/SCG/Requirements
If you would like SQL Code Guard to support SSMS 2017, would it be possible to post on UserVoice here? https://redgate.uservoice.com/forums/599647-sql-code-guard

Hi @rversace,
Thanks for your post. SQL Prompt no longer supports SSMS 2008 R2 and earlier, however it can still connect to SQL Server 2000 and above. You can see our full list of requirements for more details.
Microsoft provides the latest version of SSMS 2017 for free so we would definitely recommend upgrading to that then repeating the installation of SQL Prompt.
Please get in touch if you have any trouble and we will try to help out [image]

Hi @RedgateIDConnect,
Sorry to hear that SQL Prompt crashed while you were using it.
Would it be possible to give us a little more context about when the error occurs, e.g. was it on startup? Is it consistently crashing or was this a one-off?
Thanks,
Michael / comments

Hi ozbob,
That sounds strange, I wonder if you have got two versions of SQL Prompt running.
Do you know if you are using SQL Prompt Core which comes for free with Visual Studio Enterprise 2017 or SQL Prompt Pro which you download directly from Redgate?
This is shown in the menu Visual Studio -> Tools -> Extensions and Updates (should say SQL Prompt Core or SQL Prompt Pro)
You can see if SQL Prompt Pro is installed into SSMS 2017 by looking at Control Panel -> Programs and Features

Hi Curtis,
Really sorry to hear that the upgrade caused your tab history to disappear.
We store the tab history in SavedTabs.db under C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Local\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 8
Does that file still exist for you or has it been blanked?

Hi ofrede,
Thanks for your feedback, sorry to hear that Refresh Suggestions is not working well for you
I've tried the following cases on my local instance of SSMS 2014 and couldn't reproduce the issue.
1. Creating a new table with one column - autocomplete works
2. Adding a second column and refreshing suggestions - autocomplete works
3. Remove that second column from the table and refreshing suggestions - autocomplete works
When you refresh suggestions, do you see the SQL Prompt loading popup in the bottom right? [image]
