It should still be possible to license Redgate products if you are offline. If the tool can't connect directly to our licensing server you'll be given an option to activate manually using a webpage on the Redgate website (obviously via a machine that does have an external network connection!). Once our tools have been licensed they won't need an internet connection to continue to work.
I hope this answers your question!

Hi,
Thanks for your feedback. We have been doing some work around high DPI issues recently, in particular the checkbox issue above (not all the area of checkboxes being clickable) should be fixed in the latest frequent updates release of SQL Data Compare.

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for your post and sorry you have been running into this issue. I can reproduce this problem and see it happening. I am going to add an issue into our internal bug tracking software to fix this, but at the moment I could not say when we are likely to be able to look into it.
In the meantime I believe that re-running your deployment would re-add the extended properties that have been lost in rebuilding foreign keys, so this may be a useful approach to try.

We are planning to investigate if we can fix this issue in the next few weeks, but I'm afraid we don't know at the moment how likely it is that we will be able to release a fix soon. / comments

Hi Shawn,
Thanks for letting us know about this; it sounds like you've run into an important issue in SQL Compare. I have had trouble reproducing this locally though: when I tried comparing create schema ws
go
create table ws.t
(
a int
)
go
against create schema ws
go
create table ws.t
(
a int,
b int
)
go
I could not trigger any crashes in SQL Compare
I wonder if you could provide any more information about when you saw this crash? You could also raise an issue with support@red-gate.com if you would be more comfortable passing information on there.

Hi there,
I'm sorry you've run into this problem using SQL Compare. I wonder if you could raise an issue with support@red-gate.com about this issue; it sounds like SQL Compare is failing to license itself correctly,

Hi Saurus,
Thanks for letting us know about this. I can reproduce this issue - which isn't an intentional change in behaviour, so will add an issue into our internal bug tracking system to look into this.

Hi Andrew,
I'm afraid that due to the way source control details are passed in in the command line (through a single xml file) it isn't possible to compare separate repositories without comparing to and from another data source as an intermediate step. You're right that this is an instance where it's possible to do something through the UI that it isn't in the command line.
