There isn't a supported way to do this, but the project file is in an XML format and you could probably craft one with the correct mappings information without too much trouble. / comments

As Tianjao said, this is likely a permissions issue. Please ensure SQL Compare is connecting to SQL Server with the same login as before, and check whether that user's permissions on the database have changed. / comments

This looks like a re-implementation of temporal tables, a SQL Server 2014 feature, although I'm having trouble understanding some of your requirements. Would you be able to use this feature and let SQL Server do the heavy lifting for you? / comments

The interactive report is now called the "classic" report because it's older than the new DLMA-style report. The simple HTML report (which is older still) was removed at the same time because almost nobody was using it - we'd be interested to know what you preferred about this version of the report. / comments

SQL Data Compare 11 was released to support SQL Server 2014, and SQL Server has unfortunately changed enough since then that it fails to register SQL Server 2017 databases. I'd suggest upgrading to SQL Data Compare 13, which at least is significantly cheaper than buying a new copy. / comments
