Hi Dennis
Thank you for your post.
Have you got the 'Job Duration unusual' and the 'Long Running Query' alerts enabled and set. Could you let us know if they are set, what is the configuration of these alerts.
Once we receive this information we can investigate further.
Many Thanks.

Hi Russ
You could try purging the history, by following the documentation link below: Documentation link
We also have a scheduling tool, which I can email to you via a support ticket, but can also be obtained via emailing support@red-gate.com
With the amount of servers being monitored you may wish to consider how much history is kept.
Many Thanks

Hi Gert
Thank you for your post.
1. Could you confirm what version of SQL Monitor you are using?
2. Could you check if the trace flag 1204 or 1222 are enabled?
3. Could you also forward us the log files, following the instructions in the link below: Documentation link
We will then be able to investigate further.
Many Thanks

Hi Gert
Currently there is not an alert for the differential backup failures, however it would be possible to setup a custom metric to return an integer to be able to alert you.
An example of this maybe to return a count of databases that are missing a differential backup in the last 24 hours e.g. Select count(*)
from sys.databases d
Where d.name <> 'tempDB'
And d.state = 0 -- online
And d.source_database_id Is Null
And Not Exists (
Select 1 From msdb.dbo.backupset
Where database_name = d.name
And type IN ('D', 'I')
And DateDiff(hh, backup_finish_date, getdate()) < 24);
We have also raised it as an enhancement in jira with the reference of SRP-9583.
You are welcome to raise this on the SQL Monitor Uservoice at the following link: User Forum
Many Thanks
Kind Regards
