I had this problem again when upgrading SQL Source Control from v 4.0 to 4.1. The resolution for me was to uninstall SQL Source Control first before reinstalling from re-downloaded SQLDeveloperSuite.exe (via download link on redgate page). / comments

I tried to update to SQL Search 2.0 from 1.0 and the installation failed with: You must have the MDAC components installed in order to install this product. (MSI Error: 1603) I saw this: viewtopic....
