I'm using version 3.5.16.4399... the behavior of the default databases for SQL Search is still frustrating. To reproduce, do a SQL Search on Database A. Close SSMS. Reopen. Browse Object explorer to Database A. Do a SQL Search, and it'll default to All Databases. I'm using SSMS 19.3 Would love a fix... as I need to cancel reindexing all the time (too many databases). / comments

I have the same issue... Data Compare reevaluates all the data if you switch directions. This is a real time loss because I often am cherry picking good data between two servers... and need to switch directions regularly.
Any chance a fix is on the way? / comments

I'm living the SQL Server 2008 RC0 world where there is no version of SQL Prompt where the "Double-Click" works. If you think there's going to be an update in the next couple weeks, then don't worry about publishing a regression option on my behalf.
Thanks again for taking the problem so seriously. You'd be amazed how often you double-click! [image]

Yeah, I just realized it was a downgrade patch, which is fine, but it doesn't work for me either.
I did find a workaround. Pull up a query window, disable SQL prompt, open ANOTHER window... that new window will work because SQL prompt is disabled. Then REENABLE SQL Prompt. That window will still behave correctly.
Not pretty but its something [image]

I was able to reproduce the problem and made a "quicktime" movie of it.
It happens when you do a CREATE PROCEDURE on a procedure that already exists.
Will send the movie to your support email address.

Hi,
I am sorry that you have had to face this trouble. The disappearing of candidates from the Candidate list is quite a challenging issue as we have not really identified any consistent method to reproduce this problem. We are investigating this issue and will have something worked out for our future releases. Meanwhile if you find any definitive ways to replicate this issue please do let us know.
Thank you for your patience.

Tanya

I have had the same problem since 3.0... Ctrl-Shift-D will get the table/proc/view to reappear.
I can't reproduce with any consistancy, but it happens daily for me.

I was working with the 3.8 beta in SSIS (and am quite happy with it overall), when, for no apparent reason, SQL Prompt lost track of one of the tables.
This is a table that I had been using in many queries that day, and so I know it was showing up correctly. Suddenly, with no apparent error, it simply was no longer showing up in the tables list. I refreshed the tables for that DB, but that made no difference. However, deleting (I deleted all cached data - should have tried deleting just that DB first, but my mistake there) and reloading returned the table to the selectable list.
Not sure what else I should (or can) report on this error. I hate this error report, as it is unsatisfactorily vague to me, but that's all I have that I can report.

I'm running 3.5.0.323 of SQL Prompt... and while I love the Hot-Key Caching and speed, I think its parsing of the SQL has taken a step back.
Here's an example for the NorthWind database. The intelisense on WHERE guesses tables, and I can't make it show columns.
Is the because of my version?
Thanks,
Sam

I would love a HOT KEY to refresh the cache. The auto reload on every new query window is too intrusive, especially since the default database is rarely the one I use. Instead I disable to auto-reload... but hence need to be able to HOT KEY as I update the structure.
WOULD LOVE A BETA OF THIS IF YOU CAN! [image]
