I agree, the report does need a shortcut so it can be closed. I think we had some limitations within the window, but we will take another look for a later release.

Hello,
Thank you for your post. Within the config directory of the application we have defined all of the generators as XML and set various properties which are loaded when the application starts.
For Business IDs (Ids.xml), we have a setting saying what to match the generator to. For this generator, it is:
" <matches field="ID" score="5" /> "
As width contains ID within the field name, the generator is automatically matching to the field name.
You can modify this by removing the configuration, I'll investigate the matching more to see if it can be improved.

Thanks for your post. The reason for this error message is because you have an incorrect argument on the command line. /argfile: should actually be /project:
For example:
R:\_Temp\zempa\Redesign\TestData>"C:\Program Files\Red Gate\SQL Data Generator 1\SQLDataGenerator" /profile:R:\_Temp\zempa\Redesign\TestData\test.sqlgen
The argument "/argfile:" is actually used for something else.

The first issue with regard to uniqueness is a current limitation within the software. Sadly, we do not support an inter column relationship and uniqueness for RegEx, as in your example. We are aware of this, however I am not sure at the moment that this will be fixed in 1.1. Do you feel this is an important feature?
However, I am not sure why it is only generating 969 rows. It could be that the data being generated is too large for your column? By default, "When data is invalid" we skip the row, this is set on the table generation settings screen. If you change this to truncate data, are 1000 rows generated?

Thank you for your post. Our aim for the 1.1 release was to solve a few issues reported by users. We want to provide the best experience when using the application for either a new user downloading SDG for the first time, or for our existing users using the application on a day-to-day basis. As a result, 1.1 does not include any major features, such as being able to ignore a column, however it is still in the pipeline for a later release.
