Hi @Ed_Thompson
Thanks for reaching out to us regarding this!
I'm glad you have been able to find a workaround for this, however clearly you shouldn't have had to do this. Before I start to look at trying to reproduce this issue here, I wondered if as a very first step you could update to the latest version of SQL Compare to see if you still see the same issue? Version 14.4.20 can be downloaded from here: https://download.red-gate.com/checkforupdates/SQLCompare/SQLCompare_14.4.20.18129.exe

Hi @....strauss
My sincerest apology that it has taken so long to follow up on this! Unfortunately it does not appear to be possible to achieve the exact formatting you are after. However, after much tweaking of the style settings, I have been able to get quite close. Please see below:

I am attaching the new style file that I hope will be useful to you.

Hi @....strauss Thanks for reaching out to us regarding this. My apology for the delay in responding to you.
The formatting of the syntax will depend on what Active Style you have set in SQL Prompt. For example, If I format the syntax you provided with the Redgate default Active Style, then the outcome is almost identical to the screenshot you have provided.
Are you using the default Active Style? Or are you using a custom Active Style?

Hi @jay2807! I am so sorry for the delayed reply to you on this! There appears to have been some confusion at this end, around working on a fix for this issue/bug.
Given the nature of this bug, unfortunately we are essentially unable to work on a fix for this ourselves until Microsoft have released a fix also. While we can't say when they are likely to work on this, we don't see it being within the next 6-12 months. We do appreciate that this is not ideal for you, or anyone else who may be experiencing this issue, and so we will continue to press Microsoft for a solution to this. We have also logged a ticket for this and will keep it on hold for our visibility.

Hi @jay2807
Our development team have taken a look at this. It appears there is a bug in the Microsoft parser, and so they have logged this with Microsoft. Unfortunately we are at the mercy of if/when Microsoft chose to fix this.
Again, I will update you on this as soon as I have more information.
