Hi, just an update on this. The issue hasn't been fixed to this date. Any production level load will cause SQLMonitor to use 100% CPU of the Managed Instance. This is due to fundamental design issue according to RedGate support. No estimated fix date has been promised. It looks like MI is marginal flavor of Azure SQL and such not an priority. / comments

Hi, This turned out to be usability issue. If you are monitoring Azure databases you have to scroll quite a bit in the metric list to reach Azure specific metrics. All other metrics show just "loading.." Might be good to show something else like "Data not found due to SQL version" etc. / comments

Hi,
Ok that cleared questions about top 10 but what about alerts it seems that not nearly all queries which would qualify for an alert gets caught. Does the alert checkup run in interval of some kind?
Regards,
Joona

Hi Joona
Not all queries make it to the Top 10 Expensive Queries table. The queries are filtered using the following criteria:
The Query must have been executed in the last hour
Execution count > zero
AND one of the following conditions must be true
• > 500 ms cumulative CPU time
• > 50 executions
• > 5,000 cumulative logical reads
• > 50 cumulative logical writes
• > 50 cumulative physical reads
• > 5 seconds cumulative execution time
I hope this helps?

I have exactly same problem. It would be nice if you could at least post if this problem was resolved or not..
I have opened new support request for this.
We have two node active/active cluster and I can't see the instances in overview and analysis sql data is empty.
