Hi Julia,
I'm afraid there's no way to amend a commit within SQL Source Control (although you may be able to use your Gerrit client to make amendments).
Would you like to describe this on our Uservoice forum so we can see on how popular the idea is? / comments

Hi Steven,
Thanks for your post.
I'm afraid this is a compatibility issue we've introduced in SQL Source Control 3.8.5. We're looking into this now, and hoping to find a fix as quickly as possible.
In the mean time, I'd recommend you downgrade to our previous release (3.8.4), which should resolve this issue.
If you don't have an installer for that release, you can download it here: ftp://support.red-gate.com/patches/SQLS ... .4.662.exe / comments

I'm pleased to say we have fixed this bug in our latest Frequent Update release (SQL Source Control 3.8.6), which is available now. / comments

Apologies for not updating everyone on this issue.
This issue was fixed in SQL Source Control 3.8.6, which was released to our Frequent Updates channel in mid-March.
If you'd like to know about about Frequent Updates, please see this thread.
The solution isn't available to users who only accept default channel updates yet, but it will be included in the next release. / comments

Thanks for your post.
Would you be able to let me know what version of SQL Source Control you were using prior to your upgrade?
That may help me track down what's happened. / comments

If you'd can't update (for instance, if you're using our Default release channel), the workaround documented above will continue to work just fine. / comments

Hi John,
Thanks for your post. It looks like this is a problem we've recently introduced into SQL Source Control. Hopefully we can fix it soon.
In the meantime, I've found a way you can work around the problem:
Open %LocalAppData%Red GateSQL Source Control 3RedGate_SQLSourceControl_CommonUI_UIOptions.xml in a text editor
Anywhere between the two lines that mention "UIOptions", add the following:
<ShowTabOnSSMSStart>False</ShowTabOnSSMSStart>
Save the file and restart SSMS
That should prevent SQL Source Control from automatically opening whenever SSMS opens.
Please let me know if that works for you. / comments

Hi Elliot, thanks for your post.
Users can only select a migrations folder if they are linked to an SVN, TFS or Vault repository. What VCS are you and your colleague using?
Alternatively, is it possible your colleague has turned on the Migrations v2 beta functionality? That looks and behaves rather differently, including the changes you've described. More information on the migrations v2 beta can be found here: http://documentation.red-gate.com/displ ... ts+V2+beta / comments

I believe this is a working link to the workaround: http://documentation.red-gate.com/displ ... mmit+hooks
Although that page relates to SVN, the same approach can be taken with your Perforce client.
If you problems persist, please let us know (either by posting here or by contacting support@red-gate.com). / comments
