To help us determine the cause of this issue please can you restart Sql Server Management Studio and tell us if that clears the problem?
The location of the checkout can be found by going to the Setup tab and right clicking where it says "Linked to: ..." It's the open working base location option in this drop down menu. / comments

Hi Barry,
SQL Source Control will now let you enforce TFS policies (if you use Microsoft's Team Foundation Server as your source control system).
You can create a custom TFS policy to enforce this behavior (see here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb668980.aspx).
Or you can use the testing policy to run SQL test for each checkin: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4105086/enforce-tests-run-before-tfs-check-in.

TFS policy checking has been added and is available in the latest version of SQL Source Control (3.3.1) which can be downloaded here: http://download.red-gate.com/checkforupdates/SQLSourceControl/SQLSourceControl_3.3.1.30.exe.
If you set up a TFS policy to check for commit comments then SQL Source Control will now evaluate this. (See here for details on setting up a commit comment policy: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/13980521/team-foundation-service-mandatory-comments-on-check-in.)
