That could be the case, as it depends on the proportionality of time spent in your code vs framework / third party code for the region of time you have selected in the timeline.
Your code will still be in the call-tree stacks, you can use Find for regular method calls (CTRL+F), and for SQL you can go to a specific Query in the 'Database Calls view' where using the blue 'NET' button will take you to that call in the call-tree.
See http://documentation.red-gate.com/displ ... calls+view

Hello,
I believe you are likely viewing the call-tree in CPU time; directly above the call-tree on the right is a dropdown to select the 'Timing mode', change this to Wallclock time and the values should match what you are seeing in the Db calls view.
Hope that helps. / comments

Hello,
If this is still an issue could you please try the following:
1. Profile the application with version 7 of the Profiler and feedback to us if this works still or not. If not how does it fail. If it works what minor version are you using please.
If you no longer have it installed you will first need to uninstall v8 (after which you can install v8 side-by-side with v7).
2. If you are able to, please send me a copy of your IIS applicationHost.config - using the email button for my forum profile.
If you no longer have an installer for APP7 you can get one here: http://documentation.red-gate.com/display/APP80/Release+notes+and+other+versions
Thank you. / comments

Thank you for the offer, we are looking into this issue - the internal reference is PP-3233 - when we have a suitable update I will reply here.
Out of curiosity is your VM Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012?
If you have another Windows 8 / Server 2012 VM to try the Profiler on it would be interesting to see what happened for you as this issue does not seem to be reproducible in a broad sense (different users / machines).

Hello,
Would you be able to provide some more details about your profiling session please?.. the application type you were profiling, how long you had been profiling for.
Did you get the opportunity to send the exception report to Red Gate using the Smart Assembly dialog? If so did you submit your email address?
If you did not get this opportunity and this exception occurs again it would be of a real benefit to us if you could send the report - doing this will provide us with a stack trace to better analyse the issue. If you do this and send me a private message (forum feature) with your email address I can keep you apprised of any updates.
Thanks for your help,
