Cmd line much slower than XP
I have seen this before and for the most part just used the XP instead of the cmd line. If I run a backup both ways the XP finishes much faster than the cmdline which doesnt make sense to me since ...
I don't see it as the same as any other DLL. Most DLL's are simply a library for the classes you need to do your chores. This is essentially an entire application or database engine you are invoking with the call to do backup. I would much prefer to at least see an option to use a database of my choosing for the data store. We come to expect these days that most 3rd party apps will require a data store. But I don't want something that is hidden from me and essentially out of my control. When I run a XP I want as little going on as possible to get the job done and no more. / comments

Both are Hyperthreaded with one being my laptop and the other a server.

Access Violation in Backup Gui
When I open the Backup Gui I get an Access violation.
