I've found that the work around posted by David_S on Mon Jan 03, 2011 1:31 pm works within VS 2008. Doing this allows SQL Prompt to still be used within SSMS.
Although you may have to do it again when Redgate issues an update to SQL Prompt that installs a new version that resets its use in VS. I wasted a good part of this morning until I figured that out!
I've further noticed that if a report doesn't have any user selectable parameters VS doesn't crash/vanish. Very odd. / comments
