We have started work on SQL Search for a forthcoming release and aim to improve this.
In the current version CTRL+ALT+D should set the focus to the search field, but we are aware that this does not always happen. We plan to fix this and also make it easier to navigate the results.
Thanks

We are looking into resolving this issue, however it seems likely that this is out of our control as SSMS could be intercepting the Ctrl + C before it ever reaches SQL Search.
The current work-around for this is to either close or save any unsaved query windows. The forthcoming release will also have 'copy' added to the right-click context menu.
If the symptom described above is not what you are experiencing, or you have anything further to add to this issue, we'd be grateful for more information.
Thanks,
Adam

Hi,
Thanks for your suggestion. If I understand you correctly, this is possible in the advanced filter.
When you click the advanced filter and it expands, just underneath on the left you will see:
Alert typesAll alert types selected
Click 'All alert types selected' and you can then select which alert or alerts to see. This can then be saved as a custom filter.
However, we are looking at ways to make this feature more accessible. I hope this answers your question.
Thanks

Hi Rhys,
The 2.2 release does include the Maintenance windows feature which allows you to temporarily suspend alerting for defined periods.
SQL Monitor 2.2 is now available for download at http://www.red-gate.com/sqlmonitor.
Thanks

The free SQL Monitor SSRS reporting pack has a report called Alerts.rdl which the lists the number of alerts by server and/or alert type.
Give it a go and let us know what you think! http://www.red-gate.com/products/dba/sql-monitor/ssrs-pack

Hi Kevan,
Thanks for the suggestion. Some of the metrics do already scale, but as you suggest, in some cases it may be useful to change the scale of the graphs to help visualise key areas.
I’ve added this to issue SRP-1370 and we’ll seek further feedback and review how we might implement it.
