Great. You can upgrade today via Help->Check for Updates. Please let me know if the problem persists. The previously posted link should still work if the problem continues.

Hi,
Sorry I've left you hanging for a bit. I should have a new version ready today that is less memory intensive. Would you be willing to test it out?
Thanks,
Neil

For some databases, Schema Compare just hangs on the postprocessing step of the compare with an insufficient memory to continue the execution of the program error. At this point Schema Compare has a memory usage (Private Working Set) of 3,859,200K. I'm thinking something is wrong [image]
Do you want a memory dump?

Hi Jimmy,
Can you give me an example of this please? The DDL for the source and target table would help me recreate it.

Hi Peter,
Yes this is a bug. I'll add it to our tracking system. In the meantime you can actually work around it by selecting the option "ignore index names" in the edit project dialog.
This option was only supposed to allow you to ignore the names of indexes when comparing but it actually has a side effect where it will ignore the names of any objects and just search for a matching object.
Thanks,

Hi Foomaniac,
Thanks for getting in touch. To read dependencies the user you are logged in as required permissions to read all_dependencies, all_constraints, all_objects, all_indexes, all_tab_cols, all_synonyms, all_indextype_operators, all_refs and all_nested_tables (or their dba equivalents depending on the user).
In your environment has your user, or PUBLIC, had the privilege revoked on any of those views?
Thanks,
