Hi Zippy,
We considered this as part of adding the option. Unfortunately this would require all new projects to visit the "Tables and Views" mapping tab of project set up before anything would be seen in the comparison results. This did not feel like the expected behavior when first using the software, as you would have to understand mappings and selections before getting to see any results. Including all tables has also been the default behavior in previous versions of Data Compare, so we wanted to avoid changing the this if we could.
As deselecting tables is an action you discover by vising this tab, it seems the place best suited to introduce the concept of what should happen with additional tables.

Hi,
We're currently working on adding an option to support exactly this use case. It should be available on our frequent updates channel shortly.

Hi,
Thanks for you posts. I can confirm that while SQL Compare works with native compiled stored procedures, we do not currently support this option for functions.
I've logged this as a feature request with reference SC-9266. Unfortunately I can't confirm when we might be working on this, but we will keep this forum thread updated with any further progress.

I understand your frustration with this, we are currently working in a development cycle of ensuring that there are features for both adopters of the latest versions of SQL Server and those that will benefit the wider community in each release. We are still working on SQL Server 2016 support, as I type this we are working on support for Temporal Tables which is the most requested feature for 2016.
At present we are aware of deployment issues with:
- Temporal tables
- Native compiled functions
- Keys associated with Always Encrypted functionality
If there are other features that you are encountering issues with we would like to hear about them. We want to make sure we are targeting the most valuable features first. / comments

Hi,
This is not something we support in the tool. I'd be interesting knowing more about the changes you are trying to deploy but are not being flagged by SQL Compare.

Hi,
If I understand correctly you're looking for a way to select a subset of the objects in your database and generate the ALTER statements for all of the them in one script? This will then be run against the same database to complete your refactoring.
If so this sounds like it would be more at home in our SQL editing and refactoring tool - SQL Prompt. I've checked with the development team and while this is not something that is currently available they would be interested in hearing your suggestion on their UserVoice. / comments

Hi Henry,
It is still possible to run SQL Compare in an isolated environment without internet access. Can I ask what issues you are encountering?

Hi both,
We're looking into this behavior now. This was possible in V11 and earlier by using the `None` button on the mappings tabs and then manually selecting the tables you wanted to include in the comparison. In V12 we simplified the way that the actions you perform on the mappings tabs are stored in the project file - but it appears that in this process we've removed the ability to do this.
We're currently investigating if adding a new project option will be a suitable way of restoring this capability. I'll update this thread as I have further news.

Hi,
Thanks for your feedback. Could you confirm which version of Compare you are running (Help -> About) and what text scaling you have on your monitors. The issue with the check boxes sounds slightly worrying so I'd like to see if we can reproduce it here.
