Thank you for your post.
I believe that the development team are aware of the difference, and while I don't know the reason for it, I believe that they are planning to make some changes to the export feature in the future. / comments

Thank you for your post.
At the moment, this isn't possible in the tool. We have heard is suggested a couple of time previously and the development have been thinking about implementing it. Can I suggest that you vote and add a comment (with any information about how and why it would be useful) to the following suggestion on our Uservoice forum. Anything that you can add which helps to strengthen the case for the change would make it more likely that the development team will priorities this over other work. https://sqlmonitor.uservoice.com/forums ... -favourite / comments

All the exceptions involve the same SQL error message.
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)
Can you confirm whether you are able to connect to the SQL Server instance using SSMS? For this to be an indicative test, the SSMS should be on the same machine that you installed the SQL Monitor Base Monitor service, and you should use the same instance name and user account that you have specified for the connection. / comments

If you navigate back to the Configuration > Monitored Servers page, and then next to the instance showing "Connection failed Cannot connect" you should see a grey symbol indicating an Actions menu. On this menu can you select Show Log.
What are the Exception messages displayed? / comments

The Preconfigured Web service option uses the Mono XSP technology. Unfortunately we haven't included any functionality in our tool to use https. However, it may be possible to do this yourself. The link below describes a method for creating a test page which uses SSL and the method might be adaptable for SQL Monitor. However, I should warn you that I have not tested this and I would be of limited help if you encounter problems, but I would be interested to know if you manage it. http://www.mono-project.com/UsingClient ... In the past we have found that this is because an Anti-Virus program has identified the installer as being malicious and has prevented the download. For this to be rectified we will need the following information so that we can work with the Anti-Virus provider. Please send it to support@red-gate.com and quote the ticket number #22733 in the subject line.
- the name of the Anti-Virus program
- any error messages you are seeing when you try to download
- the web browser and version you are using
This can take some time to get the Anti-Virus provider to deploy any relevant changes, therefore to get working sooner you can try:
- using this ftp download link to download:
ans/or:
- download the installer on an alternative machine and copy it over to the machine where you want to install ftp://support.red-gate.com/patches/SQL_ ... 0.2226.zip / comments

I'm sorry that no one got back to you.
It might be that there was a significant increase in data to be collected and the Base Monitor host struggled to keep up, but quickly did so within the 15 minutes and so returned to normal.
If it happens regularly then it can be concerning, but can also indicate that a regular task is contributing to the problem. Can you send the SQL Monitor error log files to support at support@red-gate.com and quote this forum post in your email. https://documentation.red-gate.com/page ... d=20743048 / comments

It looks like the WebServer is trying to get authorisation. Can you confirm the following:
- what is the URL you are using?
- are you using a web browser on the machine where SQL Monitor is installed?
- is the SQL Monitor Web service Started?
- have you changed the user account assigned to it? / comments

Upon investigating this, I believe that the best thing to do is to install the CU5 update for SQL 2008R2 SP2. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to test this, but it does look like the best approach.
In the meantime, we could disable one of the metric collections. This would plain stop the queries from running in the first place. This shouldn't affect the overall Deadlock alert (so would still alert you for the remaining deadlocks), but would mean that certain data wouldn't be populated in the alerts and overviews.
If you are interested in trying the workaround, please let me know and I will email the steps for making the change as this cannot be done through the UI. / comments
