Thanks for your post.
Unfortunately, automating the linking process is not something that can currently be done.
It's a reasonably popular request though, so could I ask you to vote for it here? The more votes it gets, the more likely it is that we'll be able to look into it. / comments

I'm not entirely sure how it works under the hood- you could try using /include:StaticData and also /include:Table <tables> to see if that works - the help states that you shouldn't use exclude and include together (which sort of makes sense as if there's a "conflict of interests" which would win?) / comments

Yeah, I don't think the GUI will touch data at all (that's what Data Compare is for [image] )
The staticdata feature on the compare command line was added so you can simply deploy source controlled data without having to call another process, but it's a somewhat "simple" feature.
You might want to suggest better control over data over on the Compare Uservoice page so we can see how popular it is? / comments

The staticdata switch in Compare is specifically aimed at deploying data that's been specifically source controlled, so it's assumed that the data to use there is an "all or nothing" operation.
If you need more granular control over data deployments, you'd need to look at using SQL Data Compare instead which gives you a lot more control over the data operations. / comments

Hmm, I don't seem to be able to reproduce that behaviour myself- just to check, is it this sort of action that's not working for you: http://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/c2eTlZn35o / comments

Oh yes- that's pretty odd... I'll try a couple of other machines here to see if I can repro it.
The UI of SQL Source Control is soon going to get a full overhaul, so I'm fairly confident the problem will go away anyway in a future release, but if I can get it to happen on a machine here we might be able to put in a fix a bit sooner. / comments

Hi,
It doesn't seem to do that on mine- what version are you running? Can you also check to see if you maybe have a non-standard DPI setting in Windows? This can sometimes cause scaling issues. / comments

No worries- just one of those things hopefully! Let us know if you do get it to happen again though. / comments

I've just checked this bug and it does look like it may get fixed in the next release. I don't quite have an ETA on this, but that particular bug is definitely in there. / comments
