One thing I'll say: Whether you agree with the change in price or not, there is a certain inherent added expectation when you start charging for a product.
Which is to say, I don't necessarily expect a bug-free product or highly responsive support and fast bug-fixes if I'm not paying for something. Something crashes (which Reflector does a lot for me), I'm happy to send in the bug report and "just hope" that a fix will appear "whenever the next version comes around." I'm happy to have the product and provide a wide berth around expectations for support and fixes because, you know, it's free.
On the other hand, if I'm going to pay (or, more likely, my entire company is going to pay for many, many licenses) for a product, I'd best be able to get someone on the phone when things go wrong; I'd best have direct email support and not just wait around for someone to answer questions in the forums; and I'd best get a far more stable product with more response to the crash reports that get sent in. The expectations around quality and support go way up. / comments

Does feedback about the new pricing model really matter?
I, like many in the community, am disappointed that Red Gate has chosen to switch up and charge for a tool that was supposed to remain free.

OH. Wow, since they aren't visually differentiated from the other arrows in the tab well, I assumed they were there to as another way to scroll left and right in the tab well. Feature request: Get the navigation buttons out of the tab well. No other application I've ever seen does it that way.
Alternative: Make them visually different than other buttons in the tab well so they don't "blend in" and are obviously not for tab well manipulation. / comments

Where's the Back Button? Reflector 7 Beta
Reflector 7.0.0.272
The Back navigation button appears to have been removed from the toolbar and relegated to the View menu... where it's not convenient and does me no good. Any way to get it back ...
Assembly reorder not expected ordering - Reflector 7 Beta
Reflector 7.0.0.272.
The way the original PowerCommands assembly reordering worked, it wasn't just an alphabetization of the list of assemblies, it had some logic:

Assembly added to list during sort - Reflector 7 Beta
Reflector 7.0.0.272. I'll describe what I'm seeing in my environment, though I'm sure you can recreate the issue using other specific assemblies.
Open Reflector on a Windows Server 2008 with Windo...
Large GAC refresh blocks UI with no feedback - Reflector 7
Reflector 7.0.0.272. The first time you open the GAC (File -> Open Global Assembly Cache...) in a session, if you have a lot in your GAC the assembly list appears to just hang with no visual feedba...
Odd tab behavior during assembly reorder - Reflector 7 Beta
Using Reflector 7.0.0.272:
Create a new list of assemblies.
Open the disassembler so you see the attributes on one of the assemblies.
Do File -> Reorder Assemblies.
Watch the tab well - you see ta...
Without having seen this forum, I'd have never guessed how this works. I right-clicked on labels in the Assembly Browser, I right-clicked in the tab well... I right-clicked all over the place looking for an "Open in New Tab" option and never found it.
Might be something to consider adding, or at least a tool tip in the tab well that says to Ctrl+Click for a new tab. Or even a button in the tab well to start a new/empty tab for additional browsing.
Also, a possible defect with the way new tabs are created:
1) Create a new list with the .NET 4 assemblies in it.
2) Select the System.Xml assembly and decompile it so you have a tab with something in it (the assembly attributes).
3) Ctrl+Click the System.Core assembly so there are now two tabs - one with the System.Xml assembly attributes, one with the System.Core assembly attributes.
4) Close the System.Core tab. Note that System.Core is still selected in the Assembly Browser, but there's no tab for it.
5) Ctrl+Click System.Core again to re-open the tab. No tab opens.
6) Select a different assembly in the Assembly Browser.
7) Ctrl+Click System.Core again and the tab properly re-opens.
I arbitrarily chose System.Xml and System.Core in the example, but it doesn't matter which assemblies you select; the point is you can't re-open a tab for something that is already selected in the Assembly Browser.[/list] / comments

Where do you report PowerCommands issues?
I had reported an issue with PowerCommands on the CodePlex site quite some time ago that was never addressed. It appears that CodePlex site is gone now, and my issue - a problem with the sort algor...
