It definitely is, up to 4.5 actually because I am a developer and my visual studio projects are all 4.5 right now (VS 2012). I think it is reporting 2.0 because that is what this version of SSMS uses. / comments

They had, and 6.4 was working as well and then it just stopped working. Is there any SSMS startup logging I can turn on? I can do this for extensions in Visual Studio but I'm not aware of how to do it for SSMS. / comments

This is the first time I have seen a deadlock occur.
I do have those other products installed. I only use the Search application however.
Scanning through the logs, I only see exceptions for not being able to find the PK for a column, perhaps due to it being a table type.
The other errors in the logs are regarding not being able to decrypt system_internals_allocation_units and another regarding having no access to run DBCC TRACEON

This does not meet the need of users who use SQL Compare but not SQL Source Control. We use SSDT projects and TFS for source control but migration of designs from environment to environment (ex. Stage to Production) are performed using SQL Compare.
Would you consider adding this to SQL Compare. / comments
